Zack grew up in the Okanagan, where he developed a strong passion for sports, including football, basketball, and rugby. His love for athletics continued at the university level, where he competed for the UBC Thunderbirds Football Team while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
With over 15 years of playing contact sports, Zack personally encountered numerous traumatic injuries. From shoulder dislocations to ACL tears, his own challenges recovering from injuries sparked a desire to help others navigate the complex process of injury rehabilitation.
Although his passion for physical therapy initially grew from sport, Zack loves working with people of all ages, abilities, and activity levels. His favorite clients to work with are those living with longstanding, persistent pain and helping them recapture their lives. Whether it’s returning to sport or getting back to gardening, Zack’s greatest satisfaction comes from seeing his clients return to the things they love to do most.
Zack’s approach to rehab is grounded in patient-centered care. He believes in working with his clients to create a treatment plan guided by the latest evidence, individually tailored to meet their needs. He uses a combination of manual therapy, patient education, and targeted exercise prescription to instill resiliency within his clients and empower them with the necessary skills to manage their condition.
Outside of the clinic, Zack enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors with his family. When he's not hiking or skiing, you can find him participating in a variety of sports, working on his Olympic lifts in the gym, or running on the trails with his Labrador, Skogafoss.
